Daniela obtained her PhD in urban studies at Stuttgart University, Germany. Her research focuses on models of urban planning and design in European cities. Her work sheds light on the role of actors in planning paradigm shifts – and more broadly on the interrelationships between urban role models, the built environment, and socio-political contexts. She has published on the topics of spatial planning and urban design.
