Joost Reintjes — Chargé d'affaires of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Russia
Mr. Reintjes joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989 and from 1989 to 1998 was posted at the Dutch Embassies in Cairo and Caracas, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague (Asia Department).
He then had the following assignments:
1998 - 2002 Sector Coordinator Middle East, Migration and Consular Affairs Department
2002 - 2003 Counsellor in Amman
2003 - 2004 Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad
2004 - 2005 Ambassador in Baghdad
2005 - 2009 Deputy Head of Mission in Rome
2009 - 2011 Ambassador in Islamabad
2011 - 2015 Ambassador in Nairobi
2015 - 2016 Director Western Hemisphere Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
2016 - 2020 Ambassador in Riyadh
