Lin Zhou — Dean of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School
Professor Lin Zhou has been Dean of Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School since 2019. He was the dean of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2010 to 2018. During his tenure, Antai has undergone a transformation from a national player to an international player in business education. In 2017, Antai took the top position in the inaugural ranking of AP business schools by Financial Times. It was ranked the first again in 2018.
Prof Zhou is active in the global community of business education. He is currently member of the EQUIS Accreditation Board. He has led or participated in many Peer Review Team visits for AACSB and EQUIS. He serves on the international advisory boards of several business schools in Americas, Asia, and Europe. He also sits on the Boards of Directors for a couple of public companies.
Prof Zhou is an accomplished scholar in microeconomic theory and game theory. He has published in many leading academic journals, including Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, and Games and Economic Behavior. He is the first fellow of the Econometric Society elected from Greater China (2009).
Prof Zhou received his bachelor degree from Fudan University in 1982, and his doctoral degree from Princeton University in 1989. He taught economics in several US universities, including Yale and Duke. Prior to returning to China in 2008, he was the WP Carey Professor of Economics at Arizona State University.
