The discussion is devoted to the mystery of disappearance of the "Western civilization" concept from political rhetoric, university courses and foreign policy documents. The participants will discuss the history of the term, the causes and nature of the current crisis and possible scenarios for self-identification of the Western societies.

• When and why did the USA become the center of the “Western civilization” ideology?
• What is the current identity crisis in the West, and what does the future hold?
