The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that only by implementing a proactive response strategy can the spread of infectious diseases be contained without the imposition of restrictions and lockdowns. A key measure of this strategy is emergency vaccination of the population. At the same time, the organization and implementation of scheduled vaccination campaigns, immunization in accordance with the national calendar of preventive vaccinations become the basis for maintaining the health of the nation. The priority measure for establishing an immunobiological shield is the implementation of timely routine immunization of the population against controllable infections. During epidemics, it is important not to limit and continue scheduled vaccination work.
Discussion points: • Main directions of development of regional immunization programs: current realities and new opportunities. • Key barriers to the development of regional immunization calendars. • Explain, don't force: how can we increase public adherence to vaccinal prevention? • The region's "ideal vaccination calendar": how to ensure a systematic approach to vaccination decision-making with available vaccines?
